Bismarck State College is proud to welcome incoming students for the Spring 2024 semester. More than 1,460 high school students from North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington kick-started their college career at Bismarck State College while still in high school through the BSC Fast Track program in Spring 2024. BSC Fast Track allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to take college courses as Dual Credit or Early Entry to meet their high school graduation requirements and receive college credit all at the same time.

Sixteen area Dual Credit/Early Entry students have been named to the BSC President's Honor Roll for the Fall 2023 semester. Students must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average on a 4.00 scale while enrolled in at least 12 BSC semester credits to qualify for the President's Honor Roll. The BSC Dual Credit/Early Entry program allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to take college courses to meet their high school graduation requirements and receive college credit all at the same time. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credits are considered full-time BSC students.

The College Media Association recently recognized two Bismarck State College students for their remarkable work. Kaia Lehman and Seth Iverson each received a Pinnacle College Media Award during the 2023 Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Association Fall National College Media Convention.

Eight area Dual Credit/Early Entry high school students graduated with a degree from Bismarck State College after completing the Spring 2023 semester and prior to their high school graduation ceremony. The graduates were recognized at the college's 83rd commencement ceremony held on May 12, 2023.

Bismarck State College student Fredric Odioinkhere (Plant City, Fla.) has been selected as a 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar and awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholars are selected based on scores the student earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,400 applications were received this year. The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver, and 50 Bronze Scholars nationally each year.

Six Bismarck State College students competed in business-related competitions during the 53rd Annual ND Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate State Leadership Conference held March 26-27, 2023 in Mandan, N.D.

Bismarck State College student Anne Schauer (Carpio, N.D.) has been named a 2023 New Century Transfer Scholar and awarded a $2,250 scholarship. New Century Transfer Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. Over 2,400 students were nominated from more than 1,300 college campuses across the country. Only one New Century Transfer Scholar is selected from each state.

Because of their exceptionally high scores on Microsoft Office Specialist exams, four Bismarck State College students have been named North Dakota Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) champions and selected to compete in the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship in June 2023.
