Forty-two area Dual Credit/Early Entry high school students graduated with degrees from Bismarck State College after completing the Spring 2026 semester, and prior to their high school graduation ceremony. The graduates were recognized at the college's 86th commencement ceremony held on May 15, 2026, at the BSC Bavendick Center.

Bismarck State College is pleased to announce the following students completed the coursework to graduate in Spring 2026.

This spring, 103 BSC Dual Credit/Early Entry students from 12 area high schools have been named to the BSC President's Honor Roll for the Spring 2026 semester. Students must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average on a 4.00 scale while enrolled in at least 12 BSC semester credits to qualify for the President's Honor Roll. The BSC Dual Credit/Early Entry program allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to take college courses to meet their high school graduation requirements and receive college credit all at the same time. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credits are considered full-time BSC students.

Bismarck State College announces the President's Honor Roll for the Spring 2026 semester.

Bismarck State College student Sophia Fafard of Rocanville, Sask., has been named to the prestigious 2026 All-USA Academic Team, one of the nation's highest honors for students pursuing an associate degree. Selected from more than 2,300 nominees nationwide, Fafard received a $3,000 scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement, leadership and community engagement.

Bismarck State College student Sophia Fafard (Rocanville, Sask.) has been named a 2026 New Century Transfer Scholar and awarded a $2,750 scholarship. New Century Transfer Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. More than 2,300 students from nearly 1,400 college campuses nationwide were nominated. Only one New Century Transfer Scholar is selected from each state.

Bismarck State College student Chance Leingang has been named a member of the 2026 Coca-Cola Academic Team, receiving a $1,300 scholarship. Students are nominated for the academic team by their college administrators. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, and engagement in college and community service.

More than 1,700 high school students from North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington have kick-started their college careers during the Spring 2026 semester by enrolling in Dual Credit/Early Entry courses at Bismarck State College while still in high school. BSC Dual Credit and Early Entry allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to take college courses that meet their high school graduation requirements while receiving college credit at the same time.
