Raina Hanley awarded Walter L. & Lucille Braun Scholarship

The Bismarck State College Foundation has recognized Raina Hanley of New Salem, N.D., as the recipient of the Walter L. & Lucille Braun Scholarship. The $2,000 scholarship, awarded $1,000 per semester, will help Hanley pursue a degree from BSC beginning in the fall of 2015.

The Walter L. & Lucille Braun Scholarship is awarded to Burleigh, Morton, McClean or Sheridan County students pursuing a degree in an energy or business program who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Walter and Lucille Braun are native North Dakotans and former educators. The BSC Foundation established this perpetual scholarship fund in honor of the Brauns in 1999.

The BSC Foundation is committed to the encouragement and support of academic excellence. Through the support of many generous benefactors, the BSC Foundation was able to budget more than $620,000 in scholarship awards this next academic year.
