Frank Vondra named to cast and crew of BSC Theatre production of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)"

2016 Dec 13

Bismarck State College Theatre Arts opened its season Oct. 20-23 with a play that honors the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death.

"The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)" is a hilarious twist on the classic tales of the Bard that features a team of actors trying to perform all 38 of his plays in one single night of theatre. Fast-paced, witty, and physical, it's an evening of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.

"I think Shakespeare would probably appreciate the irony of celebrating the 400th anniversary of his death by lovingly deconstructing his writings, by making a loving mockery of the intellectual approbation of the Bard as the greatest, most important, most talented, most vaunted writer in the history of the world," says the show's director Danny Devlin.

The cast and crew includes Frank Vondra of Park River, N.D., in the role of Sound Designer. Vondra's theatrical background includes work on the BSC productions of "Legally Blonde: The Musical," "Spring Awakening," "Eurydice," and "Dog Sees God: Confessions of Teenage Blockhead," and Dakota Stage, Ltd.'s production of "A Little Bit of Magic." He was also a participant in the the 2015 and 2016 One-Act Play Festival and BSC's 2016 24-Hour Play Festival. .
